Ebony Johnson
Ebony Sunala Johnson is a Senior Vice President, Associate General Counsel for Consumer Regulatory and Public Affairs at Truist. Ebony’s practice focuses on consumer finance law and the Community Reinvestment Act. Much of her work involves engaging with community groups, banking trade associations, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and banking regulators on consumer regulatory developments. Ebony spent several years at the CFPB as Senior Litigation Counsel in the Office of Enforcement, litigating, investigating, and supporting supervisory examinations across various consumer markets. Ebony graduated, cum laude, from Howard University School of Law and, before becoming a lawyer, commissioned as a military officer following graduation from the United States Air Force Academy.
